Vanilla Cream
Ingredients
4 cups of milk
1/2 vanilla bean cut lengthwise splitting it open
1 cup of sugar
4 eggs
4 tbsp Cornstarch
Preparation
- In a bowl combine half the sugar, cornstarch, and eggs. Mix well.
- In a pan combine the milk with the other half of sugar, salt, and vanilla bean. Bring to boil
- Reduce heat on pot. While stirring constantly, pour milk mixture into egg mixture. Strain.
- Place back over medium heat, stirring constantly until it simmers and thickens.
- Remove from heat. Let cool.
